Normally, only two children may be under one year old. Exceptions can be made for siblings and to provide continuity of care in circumstances approved by Ofsted.

What age range do you cater for? Children from birth to 11 years old.

When are you open? We will provide you with childcare between the hours of 7am and 7pm. We have a flexible approach and are able to negotiate hours, terms and conditions with each parent to suit their unique needs for their child.  We are happy to provide families with part-time places for their children.

Which schools do you pick up and drop off at? We are able to drop children at and pick them up from Lightcliffe CofE (VA) Primary School, St. Chad's CE Primary School, St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School and Lightcliffe Preparatory School.

How much does it cost? Charges vary according to each child’s needs. Also, the price for your child's care will depend on their age and whether they participate in a range of additional options we offer such as piano tuition, swimming lessons, drop off and pick up from school etc. Wen also offer discounts for second and subsequent siblings. If you would like to make an appointment to discuss your child’s needs we will be happy to discuss our charges. Please call 01422 20 10 15 to make an appointment.

Where will my child rest? Some young children need to rest during the day. Our rest areas are quiet, dimly lit, and have soft comfortable furnishings.

What will my child do all day? Children need access to interesting activities, both quiet and active. Daily activities are varied, and give all children some opportunities to choose what they want to do. Friendships are very important to children. Being part of a regular group can help. However, children also benefit from having some opportunities to be with others older or younger than themselves. Timetables are flexible enough to meet the needs of the whole group.

How do you deal with difficult and challenging behaviour? Challenging behaviour needs to be dealt with sensitively. We have a written policy statement on how we deal with difficult behaviour which is available to parents upon request and will be discussed in our initial meetings with parents. Strategies for understanding rather than reprimanding children are a feature of effective behaviour policies.
